Initial Phone Call for Plan

Begin with a 20 minute phone call to discuss our process.

Initial Phone Meeting: A 20-minute phone or Zoom call will give us both a chance to make sure your situation matches our expertise. After all, you wouldn’t go to a dermatologist if you needed heart surgery.

We will also share with you our discovery process for your helping determine what you are looking for in a wealth management firm.

If we aren’t a good fit for each other we will gladly introduce you to a firm that is better suited to your needs.

2. Discovery Process
Determine if Thayer Financial is right for you.

Our discovery process that each client goes through is designed to help guide you through the complex process of determining the best financial planning firm for you and your family. Our goal during this isn’t to sell you anything, but to help you understand what is important to you from a benefits and values perspective and how Thayer Financial might help accomplish that. The goal of the discovery process is to make you as informed as possible and to help you determine if our firm and our services line up with what you are that is worth multiples over the fees that we charge for our services that solves our client’s complex financial problems.

Financial Plan

Let us develop a free one-page plan for you that clearly identifies your way forward.

Based on our initial phone call and the questionnaire that you will fill out during the discovery process we will be able to present to you a detailed 1-page plan that will help provide the framework for the services that we will be able to provide you during our partnership. We will also be able to provide you with a no-obligation quote for our services to move forward.

We are in no rush for you to make this decision to work with us. We will encourage you to sleep on it and ask yourself these questions before committing to working with us:

  • Do I like, trust, and respect the team at Thayer Financial?
  • Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost?
  • Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy and approach to financial planning?
  • Do their recommendations make sense to me?

We will follow up within a few days to determine how you would like to proceed.

If you decide that we aren’t a great fit to work together, we won’t take it personally. In fact, we will wish you the best and will even help you find someone that might be a better fit for what you are looking for. We don’t believe in hard-selling or pressuring people to say yes.

Work together to help you get your financial life organized.

Once you have made the decision to retain our services, we will begin the streamlined process of onboarding you as a client. Prior to this process we will have sent you a detailed explanation of this process and can answer any remaining questions or concerns.

While we want and expect our relationship to last a lifetime, there is never any long-term contract or reason you are stuck with us. If you ever want to leave whether it’s 30 days or 30 years from now, we will wish you the best and part as friends.
